Dear Tony Curtis:

I hope this reaches you in great health.

I just came across your most excellent gallery web site during a search for letters written during World War II by high-profile people (ex-Presdents and celebrities who served) for the completion of a book to be edited by Walter Cronkite for Alfred A. Knopf.

Please let me know as soon as possible if any letters you may have written while you served in the Navy during World War II have survived, and whether they could be made available for inclusion in the book. I'm meeting continually with Mr. Cronkite to discuss the book, which is mostly finished. Knopf needs the completed manuscript by April 30.

Please contact my assistant, Tom Steele, at his e-mail address: tom@hugeflavors.com as soon as possible.

Thank you very much, and congratulations for having such a marvelous and multi-faceted career.

Sincerely,

Bill Adler Bill Adler Books New York, New York

Mr. Curtis, I am wondering where I can write to you to get your autograph, as I am a huge fan of yours. My favourite of your films is 'Spartacus'. It is a great film, and I consider it to be one of the best films ever made. Best Wishes Malcolm Kenworthy e-mail: kennez@another.com

Dear Tony My name is Steven Poole from England, I have been your biggest fan since 1971, I've read your two biographies. For years I've wanted to meet you. One of the things we have in common is an attitude towords life - stay young and happy for as long as it is possible. The second thing is that I am married to a much younger woman which made me feel even younger and happier. It is a pleasure to be able to write these few words to you and I hope that there would be a chance for me to either meet you next time you come to England or my wife and I seeing you in Los Angeles.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Steve

Dear Tony This may seem like a strange request but I hope you can please help me out.I'm wondering if you can tell me anything about a lady named Mary (Min) Van Howten. In doing my family history I was told that you boarded with her or that she did your laundry or basicly helped you out when you were a young struggling actor.Could you please set the record straight for us please? Her son was Frank Van Howten who ran a gym for actors and actresses to help them get in shape for movies etc.He just went by the name Frankie Van.One of my older cousins also told me that yo sent flowers for her funeral in the late 1960's.If you could set the record straight for us we sure would be happy. Thanks for your time and your help.Sincerely Donald J.
